A rugged 7-inch tablet computer with a built-in keyboard and Windows 10 Pro operating system. The Ranger 7 is designed to be compatible with existing IT infrastructure and applications for most users. There is no other device like it.

Need an optional barcode scanner or RFID reader? With the Ranger 7’s modular design, adding additional functionality such as barcode scanners, RFID readers or even GNSS is simple and easy to do.

The Nomad 5 is powered by Android 8.1 with a 5-inch high-brightness touchscreen designed for outdoor use. Wireless capabilities include 4G LTE mobile data, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2. The Nomad series have been known for their durability and the Nomad 5 carries on that tradition with a mil spec of MILSTD-810G and an IP65/68 rating. The Nomad 5 is compatible with EMPOWER modules for additional functionality.

The Yuma 7 is a fully-rugged tablet, similar to the Ranger 7 but without the built-in keypad. Like most tablets, data entry is by the virtual on-screen keypad or from an EMPOWER module (RFID, Barcode Reader, GNSS). The operating system is Windows 10 Pro and wireless capabilities include 4G LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.

Completely rugged, the Yuma 7 is tested to MIL STD-810G and IP68 standards. The 7-inch display is sunlight readable, making it an outstanding choice for outdoor applications.

EMPOWER Modules

The Trimble EMPOWER Modules provide additional data collection capabilities to products such as the Ranger 7, Nomad 5 and Yuma 7. The additional capabilities include a Barcode Imager, Barcode Imager with RFID Reader or a Sub-Meter GNSS receiver module. Customers can pick and choose which module best suits their individual needs.

Trimble also offers an EMPOWER Developer Program which allows 3rd party developers to design modules for innovative data collection, giving customers a one-of-a-kind rugged mobile device.

Juno T41 C: Rugged Handheld Data Collection – Basic Model

 
The Juno T41 C is far from “basic” with features that include a 4.3” Sunlight readable display, WiFi (802.11b/g/n), an 8MP camera, barcode scanner and a 800 Ghz or 1Ghz processor with 512MB of RAM. It comes with either Microsoft WEHH 6.5 or Android 4.1 operating systems.

The Juno T41 X is a handheld device that has voice, SMS text and cellular data transfer capabilities, which can be used on GSM cellular networks worldwide. Additional communications features include WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS and Bluetooth.  The Juno comes standard with an 8 megapixel camera which can also read 1D/2D barcodes.

Essentially take any other Juno T41 handheld computer and add enhanced GPS and you now have the T41 G model.  The enhanced GPS feature dramatic improvements GPS performance by allowing data collection in real-time at 1-2 meter accuracy, while gathering Raw Data Output for post-processing applications.

The Juno T41 R allows for RFID use in a wide variety of environments and industries.  The T41 R reads the EPCglobal Gen 2 RFID tags.  The integrated antenna is circularly polarized eliminating the need to align the reader directly with the tag, for fast and accurate reads.  Paired with a fixed reader or as a stand-alone mobile reader the T41 R is ideal for asset inspection, maintenance and inventory tracking.

Note:   The Juno T41 R cannot be combined with a 1D/2D imager scanner but barcode scanning can be achieved using the 8 MP camera that comes standard.
